Meet christine

From growing regions around the world to my own kitchen, food has always been at the heart of my story.

I’m Christine, the voice behind The Growers Table. This space grew out of a lifelong curiosity about where our food begins and the people whose work brings it to our tables.

For more than three decades, I worked in the agriculture industry, traveling through the growing regions and spending time with the people responsible for producing what we eat. These experiences fostered a sense of respect and trust, showing the dedication, hard work, and care that go into growing the food we enjoy every day.

During my years of international travel, some of the most meaningful moments didn’t happen in meetings but around the table, where food brought people together across cultures in ways words often couldn’t.

They also shaped how I see food, not simply as something we consume but as a meaningful connection between people, places, and traditions.

The Grower’s Table is built on that perspective. It’s a place where I share stories about where our food begins and explore local farms, farmers’ markets, and CSAs, inviting readers to feel connected and part of a larger community.

As a mother and grandmother who loves good food and good company, I believe that some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around the table, where stories are shared, and memories are made.

At its heart, The Growers Table is about connections – connecting us to the source of our food, the people whose work brings it to our table, and the moments that unfold when we gather to share a meal.
