We took a road trip in August of 2020 and these photos were taken on highway 287 enroute to Amarillo Texas. I loved being able to see the sky which seemed to go on forever. The sunset was spectacular with the fiery orange sun as it set that evening. After the sun went down, we were treated to a brilliant lightning show (without the rain). It was beautiful sight.
